The symposium was held in Yifu Science Museum of Lanzhou University on 9-11 August 2015.

The symposium was hosted by Pollution Ecology Proffesional Commettee of China”s Ecological Society, Institute of Applied Ecology, CAS, Nankai University and Lanzhou University(LZU), undertaken by Bio-Science Institute of Nankai University, Key Lab of Environmental Organism Moniter and Restoration of Gansu Province （in LZU）, key Lab of Environment Polution Process and Datum of Education Ministry (in Nankai University), Key Lab of Pollution Ecology and Environmental Engineering CAS and editorial board of Journal of Agro-Environmental Science More than 180 persons attended the symposium, incuding post graduate volunteers.

The vice board chairman of Chinese Ecological Society, Vice president of Lanzhou University Lizhe An gave openning speach. The attendants included section chief of Bio-Scince division, NNSFC Zhenliang Yu, The president of the symposium, Prof Qixing Zhou, the chairman of Pollution Ecology Professional Committee of the society, Prof Shuhe Wei, the director of Scientific Research Department, LZU, Prof Ruijun Long, Vice dean of Bio-Science Institute, LZU. The openning ceremony was conducted by Prof Yingmei Zhang from LZU.

After the ceremony, section chieve Zhenliang Yu from NNSFC explained the research content and development direction of pollution ecology and related problems in writing proposal for National Natural Science Foungdation. Fourteen specialists were invited to give seminar to the symposium. Ninteen attendants gave professional report and Tweenty two post graduates gave seminars to the post graduate forum.

The Proffesional Committee of Pollution Ecology held a mitting and decided the host and undertaking organizations for the Symposium 2016.

The subjects discussed in the symposium were advancement in research on strategy in ecological restoration, pollutant’s ecological process, principal and practice of ecological restoration, agricultural environment pollution and agricultural product safety, mechanism in water body and soil pollution and ecological restoration, eco-toxicological effect and mechanisms of land surface pollution, eco-toxicological process and mechanism

On the closing ceremony, outstanding post graduate students were awarded. The certificates were confered by invited specialists. Prof Shuhe Wei presented closing speach. He expressed thanks to the host and undertaking institutions and volunteers for their nice contributions to the symposium.
