Fertilization contributed a lot to the continuous increase in cereal harvest in 11 years. However, excessive, unreasonable fertilization and the low efficiency in fertilizer absorbance by crops brought about soil harden and acidification, environment pollution and imbalanced ecology, seriously threat the safety in quality of agricultural- product and the safety of our agricultural environment. To solve these problems, our institute (IAE CAS) has founded the project. 

To better accomplish the project, a meeting was held by the research group to discuss the implementation plan and to promote related work. More than 40 persons attended. Prof Xudong Zhang, Prof Wenju Liang, Prof Wantai Yu, Prof Yi Shi, Prof Yong Jiang, Prof Lijun Chen, Prof Huanghua Yin were invited as review committee members. The meeting was conducted by Prof ZhiJie Wu. The director of Science and Technology Department Junchen Zhuo introduced the significance, tasks and assessment indicators. Prof Zhijie Wu expressed hope and request to the attendants in promoting related work.  

Workers in the project goup Caiyan Lu, Yulan Zhang Xinyu LI, Qiang Ma and Ruzhen Wang reported their implementation plans. Hongtu Xie introduced demonstration bases in Jilin and Liaoning Province. The committee members gave evaluations and suggestions to the reports. Via the discussions in the meeting, the workers in the group made better understanding on the idea and request and directions for the project
