The Institute of Applied Ecology，Chinese Academy of Sciences (IAE, CAS) is located in Shenyang, Northeast of China. This Institute was established in 1954, and is now a multidisciplinary research Institute focusing on ecological, agricultural, and environmental sciences. The Institute has over 400 research staff, about 350 graduate students, and excellent lab facilities and national field stations. The Institute invites inland and overseas scholars to apply for the several Talents Program positions in the following research fields:
1. Forest ecology;
2. Restoration of ecology focusing on sandlands and forest ecosystems;
3. Microbial resources and biotechnology;
6. Bio-remediation of polluted soils;
7. Sustainable science.
Qualified candidates should hold Ph.D. degrees in related fields, and have a minimum of 4-year working experience continuously in overseas research institutions after getting Ph.D. degrees. The candidates with excellent record of research and publications are encouraged to apply. The candidates should have academic positions in a university or research institution at assistant professor levels. Supported by “The Hundred Talents Program” of CAS and IAE, CAS, the successful candidates are expected to set up new research groups in IAE, CAS.
For “The Hundred Talents Program”, selected candidates will be offered academic positions at the professor level, and a start research grant of 2.73 million RMB. More than 100 m2 space for lab and office, and a decent amount of housing subsidy will be provided.
These positions are available until fulfilled, and the finalists will be arranged to have interviews in China or through Internet.
