Significant effect shown for the application of newly developed salt resistant fertilizer on winter wheat

According to the of CAS STS Network Service project in  R D of fertilizers specially for Costal Saline And Alkaline Land and the effect of SHIKEFENG stable fertilizer demonstrationour institute and SHIKEFENG limited chemical company co-organized a field demonstration on winter wheat fertilization in Xiajin county, Dezhou CityShandong Province on 22 May.

The soil in Xiajin is typical saline and alkaline soils, characterized as alkaline, cool, hardened, impervious and poor with low productivity. Our institute has developed salt and alkali resistant and long-acting (as long as 120 days)fertilizers. The new fertilizer improves soil structure and permeability, reduces the harm effect of alkali, helps to hold moisture, fertility and increase seedling survival. The fertilizer enhance the crop yield

and income of the farmers. So the fertilizer is warmly welcomed by the farmers

According to the local farmers, the new fertilizer makes wheat seedlings have deeper root system, greener foliage and more tillers. According to the in situ estimation,by application of the new fertilizer, the winter wheat yield is as high as 500kg/Mu and farmer’s income increases 200 RNB/Mu.
