Dr. Xiaorong Zhang, born in April 1994 in Dalian, Liaoning Province, is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on remediation of soils contaminated by emerging pollutants, agricultural environmental risk assessment, migration and transformation of emerging contaminants, and resource utilization of agricultural waste. She is particularly interested in cross-media ecological remediation processes and microbial ecological succession mechanisms in agroecosystems. She has published more than 20 academic papers, including 15 SCI-indexed articles, with over 10 as first or corresponding author. She holds 6 authorized patents and serves as a reviewer for journals such as Chinese Journal of Ecology and Industrial Minerals & Processing. She has received several honors, including the CAS “Green Talent Program,” Outstanding Graduate of Liaoning Province, and Environmental Protection Scholarship.
