Resume
XIE Hongtu, male, born in November 1973, native of Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. Ph.D., Professor. He currently serves as the Director of Changtu Modern Agricultural Experiment Station, Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang. His main research focuses on the conservation and sustainable utilization of black soil, with research interests in soil organic matter cycling. His work includes the development of conservation tillage technology models with straw mulching, the construction of technical systems for the resource utilization of livestock and poultry manure as organic fertilizer, and the development of smart agriculture systems. As an expert in the agricultural field, he serves as a member of the Conservation Tillage Expert Group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Liaoning Province, and as the Chief Science and Technology Commissioner for Black Soil Conservation of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Science and Technology. He has published over 200 papers, served as lead editor of 3 monographs and associate editor of 2 monographs, and holds more than 30 authorized patents. He has received the Science and Technology for Development from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2021, 3rd place) and the Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress of Liaoning Province (2025, 2nd place).
