Resume

Pan Huaqi, Male, born in June 1982 in Tianshui, Gansu Province. PhD, Professor, Principal Investigator (PI) of the Agricultural Microbiology and Synthetic Biotechnology Group, Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Concurrently serves as Director of Liaoning Engineering Research Center for Agricultural Microbial Intelligent Manufacturing, Vice Chairman of the Industrial Technology Innovation Alliance for Biopesticides and Biological Control, Member of the Professional Committee on General Microbiology of the Chinese Society for Microbiology, Vice Chairman of Liaoning Society for Microbiology, and Master Supervisor at Shenyang Pharmaceutical University. He is also an Editorial Board Member of the Chinese Journal of Applied Ecology and a Young Editorial Board Member of the Chinese Journal of Antibiotics. His research interests using an interdisciplinary approach to study special econiche microbes and their bioactive molecules as well as drug development (especially biopesticides), with main research directions as follows: (1) Efficient mining of functional microorganisms and construction of synthetic microbial consortia; (2) Discovery of novel bioactive natural products based on the SPLSD strategy; (3) Natural product metabolic engineering and construction of microbial cell factories; (4) Biopesticide discovery and development.
