Resume

Dr. Zongqiang Gong, born in 1975, is a Professor at the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Shenyang, China. He currently serves as Deputy Director of the Center for Pollution Ecology and Environmental Engineering and Head of the Soil Pollution Ecology Research Group. He is a member of the Expert Advisory Committee of the Land and Spatial Planning Commission of Liaoning Province and serves as an expert for mine geological environmental protection and land reclamation program evaluation. His research focuses on contaminated environmental investigation and ecological remediation, resource utilization of solid waste, plant–microbe interactions, development and application of novel fertilizers, and land use and conservation. He has led more than ten national and provincial research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), National High-Tech R&D Program, National Key R&D Program, and CAS Strategic Priority Research Program. He has received multiple awards, including two Second Prizes of Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and one Second Prize of Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award.
