CHEN Xin, Male, born in November 1968 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, Ph.D., Professor. He serves as the Director of the National Field Observation and Research Station of Shenyang Agro-ecosystems. He concurrently holds the positions of Vice Chairman of the Liaoning Society of Environmental Sciences, Vice Chairman of the Liaoning Geographical Society, and Council Member and Supervisor of the Liaoning Soil Science Society. His research interests span agroecology, soil science, and environmental science, with a primary focus on the ecological processes and environmental effects of major nutrient elements in soil-crop systems, optimization and system integration of organic waste resource utilization technologies, and assessment and control technologies for agricultural non-point source pollution. He has led and completed over 30 research projects, including key projects of the National Key Research and Development Program in international scientific and technological innovation cooperation, national science and technology support programs, projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), international cooperation projects, sub-projects under the National Basic Research Program (973 Program), specially supported projects by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), CAS STS (Science and Technology Service Network Initiative) projects, and the NSFC Key Regional Joint Fund project. Currently, he is undertaking projects such as the National Key Research and Development Program and task of the CAS Strategic Priority Research Program (Category A). He is a recipient of the State Council Special Allowance. He has been selected for the "Hundred Talents Program" of the Liaoning Provincial Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talents Project, recognized as a Leading Talent under the "Xingliao Talent Plan," and honored as a Leading Talent and Urgently Needed Talent in Shenyang City. He has authored or co-authored over 200 research papers, among which more than 50 SCI-indexed papers have been published as first author or corresponding author. As the first inventor, he holds 4 granted patents and has 5 invention patents under review. He is the lead editor of 1 monograph and a contributing editor to 4 others. He has also received honors including the Excellent Teacher Award and the Zhu Liyuehua Outstanding Teacher Award of CAS.
