Resume
BAO Xuelian, female, born in March 1985, is a native of Boli County, Heilongjiang Province. She holds a doctoral degree and is a researcher. Currently, she serves as the vice president of the Soil Science Society of Liaoning Province and the deputy director of Changtu Modern Agricultural Experimental Station. Her research focuses on the agricultural field, with a specialization in soil ecology. She acts as Executive Associate Editor for the journal Climate Smart Agriculture, and is a member of the editorial boards of Chinese Journal of Applied Ecology and Soils and Crops. Professor BAO has made significant innovations in efficient driving strategies of black soil resources, soil microbial carbon sequestration mechanisms and carbon increment principles, as well as the development of black soil health conservation technologies. She has clarified the microbial response strategies and functional coupling synergy mechanisms for black soil biological health, and developed cover crop-based biological tillage technologies. These achievements have laid a theoretical foundation for optimizing black soil health, improving soil fertility and productivity, and provided technical support for carbon sequestration and sustainable utilization of black soil resources.
She is a recipient of Top Young Talent of the "Xingliao Talent Plan”in Liaoning Provinceand a member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She has published 69 papers in renowned journals such as Science Bulletin, Soil Biology and Biochemistry. She is the lead or co-editor of 3 monographs and holds 1 software copyright. Her honors include the First Prize for Natural Sciences Academic Achievement of Liaoning Province, the First Prize for Agricultural Science and Technology Contribution of Liaoning Province, and the Second Prize for Science and Technology of the Soil Science Society of China.
