Chinese Journal of Applied Ecology Recognized as Top-Tier Publication in Agricultural Sciences
The Chinese Journal of Applied Ecology has been selected as a T1-tier journal in the Agricultural Basic Sciences category of the newly released High-Quality Scientific and Technological Journal Classification List for the Agricultural Sciences, according to an announcement recently issued by the Chinese Association of Agricultural Science Societies.
The classification initiative was carried out in line with National Guidelines for Developing World-class Scientific Journals jointly issued by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. The evaluation process followed principles including value orientation and peer review, while combining quantitative and qualitative assessments.
A total of 252 scientific journals were ultimately selected for inclusion in the journal classification list.
The T1 category represents the highest academic tier for Chinese-language journals in the field and is reserved for publications with strong disciplinary influence and international recognition. Sponsored by the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the journal's inclusion highlights its growing academic influence in agricultural basic sciences, applied ecology and black soil conservation, while reinforcing its role as a platform for academic exchange and research dissemination.
