On March 5, chairman (Wu Guoyou), general manager (Yang Chaoxi) and deputy general manager (Zhang Xin) of Guoke Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. visited the Institute of Applied Ecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to develop cooperation between the two parties.

From January 16th to 17th, 2021, the annual summary & promotion conference of the National Key R&D Program "Integrated Technology and Intelligent Equipment for Green Cleaning-Desorption Treatment of High-Concentration Petroleum Contaminated Soil" was held, in the form of offline (in Shenyang) and online video conference.

At the beginning of the meeting, Liu Li, on behalf of IAE, reviewed the preparation process of the laboratory and expressed thanks to academic committee members. Wei Zhanbo, deputy director of GFEL, made an annual work report.

Prof. Zhang Xudong from the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences was awarded this honorary title.

The Shenyang Science and Technology Association recently announced the results of the 9th Shenyang Role Model Selection and Commendation Activity entitled "Respect for Labor, Respect for Knowledge, Respect for Talents, Respect for Creation". The Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, (IAE) was commended as one of ten "Model groups".

December 28, 2020, General Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China issued a notice on the Implementation Plan for the Construction and Operation of the National Field Scientific Observation and Research Station, which included 69 field stations on the priority list of national field stations to be constructed. The Qingyuan Forest Ecosystem Observation and Research Station (hereinafter referred to as Qingyuan Station), which is affiliated with the Institute of Applied Ecology (IAE) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is on the list.

From November 20 to 22, the 3rd Forest Resources Forum and the symposium entitled "Improving forest quality and helping the construction of a beautiful China", were held in Huitong County, Hunan Province.

At the "Lishu Model" Applied Technology Commendation Conference, many researchers and graduate students from the Agricultural Center were commended for their work at the CAS Conservation Farming Research and Development Base.
