On August 28, ZHANG Yaping, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), visited the Lishu Conservation Tillage Research and Development Base (referred to as the Lishu R&D Base) of the Institute of Applied Ecology (IAE), CAS.

From July 31st to August 3rd, the Huitong Forest Ecosystem Research Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as Huitong Station) and School of Environment and Planning of Henan University jointly initiated an academic forum "Multi-scale Research on Ecosystem Structure, Process and Function" at Huitong Station. This forum was also part of the 60th anniversary celebrations of Huitong Station.

On August 2-3, LI Tianlai, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Shenyang Agricultural University, visited the Qingyuan Forest Ecosystem Field Observation and Research Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as Qingyuan Station, CAS).

On July 23, 2020, the National Key Research and Development (R&D) Program Project "Research on Key Technologies and Small Equipment for Environmental Restoration of Frozen Soil and Freezing-thawing Water in Village and Town communities" held a kick-off meeting at the Institute of Applied Ecology (IAE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

From July 13th to 15th, the 7th National Fertilizer and Soil Conditioner Standardization Technical Committee Transition Conference was held in Li County, Longnan, Gansu Province.

At 9:30 pm on July 18, 2020, CCTV financial channel's 'Dialogue' program broadcasted a special episode about the Black Land Protection. Prof. ZHANG Xudong from the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to shared his knowledge about conservation tillage.

From July 6th to July 11th, 2020, Associate Researcher JIANG Nan from the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Associate Professor PAN Jiao from the Life Science School, Nankai University, led the students to the Liangzhu Ancient City Relics (Hangzhou) for a week-long ecological and environment investigation and study.

On June 20, 2020, the Chinese Forest Ecosystem Field Observation and Research Station Alliance held a seminar to promote the progress of its project 'Analysis of Forest Ecosystem Quality, Management Status, and Management regimes in Northeast China'. The seminar was held in the form of a video conference and the main venue was in Shenyang.
