The review results of proposals for National Natural Science Foundation have been announced by NNSFC recently .The items include 3 key projects ( Applicants were Prof HAO Zhanqing , Prof HU Yuanman and Prof ZHUANG Jie ) , 2 Outstanding Youth projects ( Prof HAO Guangyou and WANG Xugao ) , 18 ordinary items , 11 youth items and 1 internationally cooperation item .According to the discipline classification , I youth items belongs to Chemistry , 20 items belong to life science including 1key project , 2 outstanding youth items , 14 ordinary item and 3 youth items14 items belong to Earth Science .

The seminar , sponsored by IAE and Co-sponsored by Jacobs University Bremen , Germany was heldon 30 August , 2017 in IAE . Prof FANG Yunting , the vice director of IAE , Prof XI Fengming from IAE .Prof Tobias ten Brink and Prof ChristophLattemann from JUB , Associate Prof HU Xia from China University of Mining presented .

The seminar and the kick off for 3d subproject of National Key R & D Project in Thirteenth Fife Year Plan : Human-Land Coupled High Accuracy Simulation and Its Application that responsible by Prof YANG Jian were held in IAE . The principal specialist .Prof LI Xia from Zhongshan University and the head of sub-project Associate Prof YU Le from Qinghua University , Prof YANG Jian from IAE , Prof SUN Xiaoping from Zhongshan University .The back-born member of the 3d subproject Prof HE Hongshi from Northeast Normal University , Associate Prof LIANG Yu from IAE and others presented .

On 31 July to 4 August , the forum was held in National Changbai Mountain Forest Ecosystem Research Station . About 60 research workers presented , including Prof CHEN Xiaoyong , the director of School of Ecological and Environmental Sciences .

Accompanied by Prof . Wu Yunna in Dalian Minzu University , Prof . Kenji Tamura from University of Tsukuba .Japan visited Erguna Research Station . Prof Kenji Tamura collected soil samples from the soil profile on the grassland experiment plot and exchanged scientific ideas with the honorary station director , Prof . HAN Xingguo , the station director .He expressed wish to develop more cooperative research on grassland soil ecology with scientists in the station .

The seminars held on 3 - 6 August , 2017 in Shenyang were hosted by Professional Committee of Soil Physics , Soil Science Society of China , cooperatively undertaken by IAE CAS , Key Lab of Pollution Ecology and Environmental Engineering CAS .Shenyang Agricultural University , Liaoning Academy of Agriculture , Shenyang University , Liaoning Association of Soil Science and National Shenyang Field Research Station for Cropland Ecosystem .The seminar also constructed foundations for the research cooperation between Chinese and international scientists on soil physics .

The seminar held in Erguna Research Station on 18-21 Julys , 2017 was co-sponsored by IAE and Inner-Mongolian Academy of Agriculture and Husbandry . The seminar was conducted by the director of the station , Prof WANG Zhengwen and the vice director .Finally , the honorary director of the station , Prof HAN Xingguo highly evaluated the significance of the seminar and sincerely invited interested scholars and specialists come to the station developing their research work .

On 13 July , Prof HE Yan , accompanied by LI Jing , the vice director of Beijing Branch , Prof ZHU Jiaojun , the vice director and party secretary JIN Changjie of IAE and the leaders of the station .Surveyed Erguna Forest - Steppe Ecotope Ecosystem Research Station , IAE .He hoped that the station will make more contributions to the development of ecological science and husbandry of China .

Invited by Associate Prof XU Sheng in Urban Ecology research Group , Plant physiologist working in USDA and North Carolina State University , Prof Kent Burkey and Associate Prof REN Shuying visited IAE and gave seminars on 19-22 .Prof Burkey gave seminar entitled as Bioindicator Plants and Protective Chemicals for Assessing O3 Effects on Crops Production and Quality .The visit was welcomed by the leaders and workers in the arboretum .
