Invited by Prof Wei Chen, Prof Hugh W Pritchard, the head of Research in Seed Conservation Department, Royal Botanic Garden,Kew visited Shenyang Arboretum on 25 Jine 2013.

Prof Chen introduced the history of the arboretum, plant germplasm conservation, research achivements in the arboretum, the discovery, introduction and spreading of dawn redwood (Metasequoia). The visitorsurprised the beautiful scenery of the arboretum and made suggestions for plant seed collection, conservation and exchange. Then the staff of Shenyang Arboretum had a brief discussions with professor Pritchard and agreed on further exchange between each other.
