On 2-7 July, 2017, invited by Prof ZHU Jiaojun, Prof G. Geoff Wang of Clemson University, US and guest Prof of CAS, visited Secondary ForestResearch Group of IAE and Qingyuan Research Station, CAS.

During the visitation, Prof WANG had discussions with the workers in the research group on experiment design, paper writing, foundation proposal writing and personnel training.

Prof Wang has long-term history in cooperation with the research group. Since 2014, he has come to visit the group and the station every year and develop cooperative research. The results had produced a SCI paper entitled as On the Size of Forest Gaps: Can Their Lower and Upper Limits Be Objectively Defined In the Journal of Agricultural and Forest Meteorology. Another paper entitled as  Assessment of the World′s Largest Afforestation Program: Success, Failure and Future Directions. The work was a part of the doctoral thesis of LU Deliang who is supervised cooperatively by Prof WANG Gaofeng and Prof ZHU Jiaojun. Prof Wang was specially invited as a guest prof of CAS in 2016 and continued the cooperation with the Secondary Forest Research Group.
