On 13-15 October, 2017, a delegation, led by the deputy secretary-general of CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference), the vice chairman of Central Committee of China Democracy Association ZHU Yongxin, a member of NPC (the National People's Congress) Standing Committee, the director of Population, Resources and Environment Committee of China Democracy Association, Vice director of Institute of Science and Development CAS WANG Yi, the vice chairman of Inner-Mongolian Political Consultation, the director of Inner-Mongolian Committee, China Democracy Association ZHENG Futian, accompanied by leaders of Chifeng City Hall and Inner-Mongolian Forestry Department, came to Chifeng area to inspect the management of Kerqin Sandy Land. Prof JIANG Deming, the director of Wulanaodu Research Station, as a member of the delegation, participated the inspection.

On 15 October, the delegation (more than 40 members) visited Wulanaodu Research Station. Prof JIANG Deming introduced the long-term (More than 40 years) research work of the station in restoration of degraded sandy land ecosystem, restoration and reconstruction of sandy land vegetation, improvement of degraded grassland, construction and promotion of sandy-land ecologic- economic models, answered questions on sandy land management and vegetation restoration. The delegation members visited the exhibition of research results of the station, experiment plots and Sandy Land Botanical Garden. Mr ZHU Yongxin highly admired Prof JIANG and the research workers those insisted in the front of Kerqin Sandy land and the contributions they gave to the construction of local ecological civilization and economic development and expressed hope the workers work hard further to support the ecological construction and economic development of Kerqin Sandy Land.
