Release Time:2017-11-13 Big Small

On 20-21 October 2017, the meeting was held. The project is sponsored by IAE and moderated by Prof BAI E. Tracking expert, Prof SU Shimin, Project Experts, Prof LIU Shirong, Prof HAN Xingguo, Prof ZHEN Xunhua, Prof BAI E, Prof JIN Changjie, Prof HAN Shijie, Head of Science and Technology Department ZHUO Junchen and other workers in the project, about 40 persons were present. The meeting was conducted by ZHUO Junchen.

The party secretary of IAE, Prof JIN Changjie introduced the task and expressed welcome to the experts on behalf of IAE. Prof BAI E and 4 scientist responsible for sub-projects reported, respectively, for the project implementation, the advancement in 2016-2017, current problems and 2018 working plan, arrangement for the coming Check and Acceptance. The Project Tracking Expert from Basic Research Center of National Science and Technology Department, Prof WANG Sumin congratulated that the project was evaluated as excellent in the middle-term assessment, confirmed the work on project organization and management and hoped the research group further tease, condense to provide an integrated results for the Nitrogen cycling of Korean Pine Forest, combine the results in modeling and observation and make comparisons with other forest types,  make closer attention to the ecological construction of Northeast China.

The experts for the project made suggestions as follows: 1) confirmed the background and the significance of the project and hoped the research group get outstanding results for the N cycling of Northeast China Forest. 2) Extend the research to the secondary forests that cover more vast area in Northeast China and raise new research subject. 3) The backbone researchers take more attentions on the whole target and focus on the project result condensation. 4) Pay attention to the difference between conifers and deciduous trees in the metabolism of N and the biomass evaluation of soil, arbor, shrub and litter on the system level, so that more accurately predict the sink of deposited N and the role of forest as a N sink. 5) Strengthen the integral logic of published papers and data sharing, make organic connections among data, forming high level result.

The meeting summarized the results of the work in the previous 4 years and made firm foundations for the work in 2018.
