On 2 November 2017, invited by the director of Center of Bio-resources and Bio-technology, the leader of Microorganism Resources and Ecology, Prof ZHANG Huiwen, Prof CAI Xiyun visited IAE, and gave seminar entitled as Recognition and Removal of agricultural non-point source pollution of Northeast China.

Before the seminar, Prof ZHANG Huiwen expressed welcome and highly evaluated his scientific contributions.

In CAI’s report, he introduced the situations in the non-point source pollution, pointed the harm to environment of pesticide remains and the by-products produced by microbes in their metabolism. Then he the new advancement in the recognition, prevention and control of the non-point source pollutants.

After the report there was a worm discussion on the subject and attendants felt great knowledge gain.
