Inspection on Daheishan and SaihanUrethane National Forest Ecological Research Station
To uncover the distribution patterns, sizes, composition of bud pool and their roles in predicting community dynamics, the interrelation between traits of seed distribution and other traits and adaptation strategy, learn how to discriminate and measure seed distribution traits, clone traits and bud pool, Prof LIU Zhimin, Assistant Prof QIAN Jianqiang and others in the Research Group of Seed Ecology and invited Scientist, the vice director of Botanical Institute, Czech Academy, Prof JitkaKlime?ová and Assistant Prof Jana Martinkova inspected the bud pool, cloning growth and traits of seed distribution on 9-18 August 2017. Prof ZHAO Xinghua from Inner-Mongolia Agricultural University accompanied the team as a consultant.
On a seminar held in IAE, Prof JitkaKlimešová gave an report on plant cloning traits and bud pool. QIAN Jianqiang and MA Qun reported the schedules for the field inspection.
The habitats for the inspection include subalpine, hill grassland, meadow on forest edge, meadow on flood plain and sand dunes. The inspection team appreciated the convenience and helps provided by Daheishan Forest Farm.
