About 50 persons presented. The seminar was conducted by the Herbarium Curator, Vice Director of Center of Bio-Resources and Bio-Technology of IAE Prof YUAN Haisheng. The vice Director of IAE, Prof FANG Yunting presented.

Prof DAI Yucheng gave seminar entitled as Research Advancement on Macro-fungi Bio-diversity. Prof GUO Liangdong’s seminar was entitled as Maintenance of Mycorrhizal Fungi Bio-diversity and Community Construction.

Started from definition of wood decay fungus, Prof DAI Yucheng introduced the situations and perspective of macro-fungus research in China, changes in numbers of fungus species and the importance of wood decay fungi in the world and modern industrial cultivation of edible and medical fungi. His humor and funny explanation showed his research achievement in recent years. There coexisted cooperation and contradictory between the research work and industrial development. The value increase and efficiency increase both should be taken into account in the main battle field of national economy.

He emphasized the advancement of mycorrhiza research and the new method for data analyses in illumine genome analyzer IIx (High-throughput sequencing), shared his research results in mycorrhiza ecology. After report, he answered questions especially questions about rational method selection and data analyses.

Prof GUO Liangdong and Prof DAI Yucheng showed profound knowledge, pragmatic attitude, research feelings and the spirit of dedication as a leader in the field of mychology.
