On 24-35 January 2018, the annual meeting to summarize the 7th subproject of the National Key R&D Project Principals and Ways for Fertile Soil Cultivation in Southeast China Mechanisms and Regulations of the Effect of Arable Land Capability on the Nutrient-Use Efficiency of Fertilizers was held in Shenyang. Prof LI Yongtao, Prof SUN Zhanxiang, Prof CHEN Zhiwen, Prof WU Zhijie were invited as director specialist. The chief expert of the project Prof SUN Bo was also invited to guide the process. Related research workers from IAE, Institute of Subtropical Agro-Ecology CAS, Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology CAS were presented.
The meeting was conducted by the leading scientist of the research group, Prof ZHANG Xudong. Director of Science and Technology Department of IAE ZHUO Junchen, on behalf of the institute, gave welcome speach. Then the responsible scientists of 6 task groups reported their implementation, advancement and highlight achievement. The specialists made remarks on the development, problems and task in the next step. The specialist group fully confirmed the research results, consider the Three Pool-Nutrient Providing Pool, Nutrient Transform Pool and Nutrient Reserve Pool-theory can be viewed as the scientific base for the regulation of field nutrient cycling and fertilizer reduction. The specialist group suggested that the 6 task group work around the Tree Pool theory, strengthen the connection among research areas, developed contrastive research such as straw return and Bio-Carbon. The leaders and workers of the research group listened suggestions carefully, and expressed that they would improve their work, think deeply and strive for breakthrough in the mechanism investigation.
Finally, the leading scientist of the research group summarized the development and problems of the project implementation, deployed the work in the future. He stressed to unify the research goal, clarify the direction and strengthen cooperation among task groups so as to condense achievement, guarantee the accomplishment of the goal and task of the project.
