Ecological Processes Has Been Accepted for Indexing in SCIE

On October 5th, the editorial office of the Institute of Applied Ecology (IAE) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences got good news that Ecological Processes, the international journal affiliated with IAE, had been accepted for indexing in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and will receive its first Impact Factor in 2020. The papers will be indexed from 2017. 

Ecological Processes is an international, open access journal, online published by the Institute of Applied Ecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in collaboration with Springer Publishing. The academic journal was in English and its first issue was published in 2012. 

The journal focuses on publishing research findings on key processes responsible for the dynamics and functions of ecological systems at multiple spatial and temporal scales for advancing our knowledge and management capability toward sustainability of ecosystems and the environment. The current Editor-in-Chief is Professor CHEN Jiquan of Michigan State University.

Ecological Processes had a CiteScore of 1.88 and was ranked 109 out of 336 ecological journals in 2018. Articles published in Ecological Processes were indexed by more than ten database services including AGRICOLA, DOAJ, EBSCO Discovery Service, EI, ESCI, Geobase, OCLC, Scopus, ProQuest, and Zoology Records. It is now accepted for indexing in SCIE and additionally in Biological Abstracts, BIOSIS Previews, Current Contents-Agriculture, Biology & Environmental Sciences, showing that the journal has entered a new stage of development.
