On August 18, 2022, ZHANG Daohong, Deputy Secretary General of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Vice Chairman of China Democratic League (CDL), DONG Hengyu, member of the Standing Committee of CPPCC and member of the Standing Committee of CDL, and several members of CDL Local Committees visited Erguna Forest-Steppe Ecotone Research Station ("Erguna Station" for short).

WANG Zhengwen, head of Erguna Station, told the visitors about the station's history, location characteristics, academic exchange activities, science popularization and S&T service affairs, as well as its short- and long-term work plans.

ZHANG Daohong and other visitors showed a great interest in scientific issues such as grassland ecological restoration. ZHANG praised Erguna Station's work progress and achievements. He pointed out that Erguna Station is an important scientific and technological service platform and ecological research station in Hulunbuir region. He hoped that Erguna Station would closely cooperate with the local governments and make a lasting contribution to ecological science, environmental protection and economic development of Inner Mongolia.
