On February 28, 2023, the National Key R&D Program led by the Institute of Applied Ecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IAE, CAS) on the Research and Development of On-line Monitoring of Atmospheric Heavy Metals with ICP-MS and Gas Diffusion Acquisition and Separation Technology held a project exchange meeting at IAE.

The meeting was presided over by Professor CHEN Xin, the principal investigator (PI) of the project. Dr. CHAI Meiyun, Technical Division Head of Shanghai Panhe Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd, reported on the development of the atmospheric heavy metal online monitoring system and the follow-up work plan.

Professor DING Fu of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, Senior Engineer ZHOU Qiang of IAE, PIs of the sub-projects, and Project Office Coordinator WANG Yanhong exchanged ideas and discussed the overall progress of the project, the key technical details, the follow-up work plan, and the schedule to ensure that the task indicators could be completed on time.

At the meeting, the researchers made clear when the project tasks such as on-site monitoring, data collection and database establishment are scheduled to implement. The convening of this meeting laid a solid foundation for the successful completion of the project.
