January 26, 2024 - The Institute of Applied Ecology (IAE) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences celebrated its 70th anniversary with a major forum, kicking off a year of activities exploring the past and future of applied ecology.

On January 26th, the Liaoning Provincial Ecological Society 2023 Annual Conference and the IAE's 2024 First Applied Ecology Forum brought together over 200 researchers, scholars, and graduate students. This event, the first large-scale celebration of the IAE's 70th anniversary, featured insightful discussions on various ecological topics.

The forum served as a platform to review the institute's 70-year journey of innovation and development in applied ecology. Simultaneously, it aimed to outline an ambitious blueprint for the future, fostering collaboration and academic exchange.
